5 Outdoor Activities and Sports to Try This Spring.

After a seemingly endless winter, spring is right around the corner. Even if you’re an avid skier or snowshoer, there’s probably a little part of you that’s been anxiously waiting for the weather to warm up so that you can shed your bulky winter coats and boots. Your time is almost here! Spring presents tons of opportunities to get out of the gym and out into the world. Let’s take a look at five outdoor sports and activities you should add to your to-do list this spring.

Tennis

If you love high-intensity training, tennis is right up your alley. The sport involves a good deal of running and also engages your arms. The added competition will only get your blood pumping more. Find a buddy or join a local league, and you’ll have a great time soaking up the sun, getting a good sweat in, and hopefully winning a few matches!

Camping

While you might not work up a sweat, there isn’t anything much better than sitting back, sipping on your tasty CBD drink mix, and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature while camping. Whether you head to a campground or are lucky enough to live near some gorgeous mountains or lakes, camping is an appealing pastime. Don’t miss your chance to unplug, relax, and recharge out in the woods.

Trail Running

If you’ve been a devoted treadmill runner all winter, you’re probably already more than ready to get outside and beat the pavement. Why not go a step further and head for the hills for your daily cardio? Essentially, trail running takes the best parts of hiking while adding a cardio component that will have you breaking a sweat. Trail running requires a different running approach, but with the right footwear, you’ll be tearing up the trails in no time. Find one near you, lace-up, and give it a try.

Mountain Biking

While you can get a good workout on the stationary bike, nothing quite beats the thrill of treading through trails on a mountain bike. It isn’t hard to get into the sport, as long as you start slow and get the right safety gear. Like trail running, with mountain biking, you get a good workout while enjoying the sights and sounds that your local trails have to offer.

Golf

Although not as intense as a ride through the trails, golfing is a sport that perfectly balances athleticism with relaxation. If you’re feeling more laid back, you can cruise around the course in a cart. For those who want to get all of their steps in for the day, then walking the course will surely provide that, especially if you’re chasing down your errant hits. Book a tee time, bring along a tasty rooibos tea to enjoy and spend a day out on the greens enjoying the sun.
